Some ten years ago after practicing dentistry for many years I was fortunate to take a course espousing the future of dentistry and its ability to change people's lives. That day the light went on and my quest to become one of the premier dentists began. My mentor has a quote he often uses, "you don't know what you don't know". This has driven my thirst for knowledge and new techniques to the highest level. I am happiest when this acquired ability can truly change lives.

I grew up in the Metro west area, and moved to the North Shore after graduating from dental school, where I now live with my family. My wife, Bonnie, is an educator with a Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching. My two children have established successful careers of their own; my daughter is a musician and conductor, and my son is a financial analyst. At home are our three Tibetan terriers, Bailey, Brodie and Babette, who allow us to occupy the house with them and love agility training. My passion for aesthetic dentistry has led to a new hobby, creating mosaics and stained glass art.

I am an avid skier, and taught skiing for many years in Maine. I am a passionate Red Sox fan, along with the Patriots and the other Boston teams. I love Mozart, Beethoven, Broadway songs and Oldies. My favorite word is generous, and my friends use it often to describe me. I am a member of the Board of Directors of Temple Ahavath Achim, Gloucester, MA and love to play bridge.
